Bule Hora (Washed) Guji-Ethiopia
Bule Hora is one of the Woredas of Guji, neighboring Gedeo, on the way to Kenya. The altitude is around 1800 meters and the air is cold.
This coffee is brought to us through somewhat traditional channels. Moplaco Trading PLC purchased this coffee through the Ethiopian Commodities Exchange (ECX), we were lucky enough to be able to contract some of this fine lot of coffee and have it imported for us by our friends at Red Fox Coffee Merchants.
As Heleanna put it, she, unfortunately, cannot have washing stations in every part of Ethiopia, but at times we rely on her expertise in sourcing from other areas, grading, and preparing these coffees at her milling station in Addis Ababa. A visit to her facilities in Addis was quite an experience for our co-founder Dylan Thome who was amazed at how immaculate the large warehouse and equipment were kept.
On-site, Heleanna also opened a beautiful Cafe/Art Gallery and Roasting business adjacent to the mill called Galani Coffee, which now has a second location as well. We are so proud to be in business with forward-thinking visionaries like Heleanna as she continues to grow, creating more jobs and infrastructure within Ethiopia.
