COLORFUL PEONY, China

Made from wild-growing plants of the Mei Zhan varietal, Colorful Peony has a richer, fuller flavor than the more familiar White Peony.

The large, dramatically shaded leaves have a confectionary sweetness, with a fruity nip recalling candy or chewing gum. After rinsing, the aroma becomes even darker, sweeter, and more intense, offering hints of cinnamon and cardamom. The infused liquor is medium-bodied, with honey, dry grass, and toffee building into a sweet, spicy finish.

This is a truly unique tea, and also very easy to like.

Steeping Instructions:

Serving Size: 2gr/2tbs - 8 oz water

Temperature Water: 175 -185F or 80-85C

Steep Time: 1-2 minute

Ingredients: Chinese White Tea

We encourage you to experiment with the quantity of tea leaves and the length of the steep time to find your desired brew strength. Varying the water temperature isn't recommended, as water that is too hot will over-extract the bitter components of tea, while water that is too cool might not fully draw out the aromas and flavors of tea.
