Sweet, dried blackberries and a hint of bergamot oil are mixed into a silky 65% dark chocolate from Belize. The blend of bergamot and berries creates a perfect balance of citrus and floral notes, complimenting the richness of the chocolate.
This Belize chocolate comes from The Maya Mountain Coop in the Toledo district of southern Belize and has become a model for cacao production. Founded in 2010, their goal was to connect Belizean smallholder farms with craft chocolate makers demanding high quality cacao and transparency in the supply chain. So far they have been very successful in not only producing a fantastic cacao but also deeply impacting the lives of the farmers they work with.
